Abstract

A ureterocele is a congenital disorder of the terminal ureter. Although ureteroceles may be asymptomatic, there is an associated sequela of hydronephrosis and reflux that can lead to permanent renal damage. This case study involves the sonographic diagnosis of a ureterocele in utero and associated urinary tract abnormalities. These findings are then correlated with postnatal imaging studies.
